I think the concept of these peace efforts by SPLM does not contradict or deny the wrong doings of the NCP. I would more likely think that it proves the continuing existence of marginalization as the NCP’s insincerity reaches all parts of Sudan. In addition, since the signing of CPA, SPLM has been redirecting and regenerating its activities to restore peace, hopes to the grassroots and commitment to resolve every single issue in every part of Sudan regardless of its difficulties.

Just as Mr. Sabit says; Freedom is not free. For people of Darfur, it is not a new approach. Periodic truces, cease-fires, and attempts to reach a negotiated settlement may have punctuated the troubled area of Darfur in the eyes of World Society. However, the SPLM looks deep into the matter and would create a different approach that may help the World and all the involved parties reach common ground if implemented. That common ground is the unity of Darfurians, and that they have accepted to coexist in Darfur so that they can also coexist with others in the long run. It is a primer sacrifice that they should pay.

As for your question, SPLM has not done any farther approaches other than uniting Darfurians. Since the SPLM is a part of GoNU, just like any other competitors in GoNU, their political plan that may resolve “this national problem”, is the unity of Darfurians. Political plans are always made to correct and indulge pacification. In this particular case, I think it has nothing to do with NCP dishonoring agreements because, I think SPLM could still continue with the plan even if we go back to war.

The strategists conclude that NCP/NIF will then ask SPLM to official remain in the government of the national unity for one united Sudan . “He joked by saying that before that happens NCP/NIF is determine to pay a any amount of money to any SPLM official to keep the crisis down.
The real burning question left un- answered is:-
Why do SPLM, NCP and international community are forcing Darfur rebel Factions to go for negotiation and sign peace agreement with NCP/NIF, given historical factor that “NCP/NIF is going to dishonor any kind of agreement they sign”? Just curious, help me understand that?

Lopez Lomong, Sudanese Track Star claimed he was slaved by SPLA

Question for those who experienced bush, did SPLA kidnapped young children as it is being run in the media? The post was in HBO/Real Sport Show this evening Sep 18, 07- started from 10pm to 11pm. Lomong claimed in some of an emotional story about how he was kept in a building with no windows, slaved and was given a little food until he fled to Kenya.
I thought that these stories were made up for immigration reasons, to come to America, but not to pursue it, unless if he really suffered from that and wanted to get pay back.

Sudanese track star Joseph Lopepe "Lopez'' Lomong leaves for Kenya Sunday to be reunited with his mother he thought was dead. He will also meet two brothers for the first time.
His trip is sponsored by HBO 's Real Sports program with Bryant Gumbel. The show is doing a documentary about Lopez who has had a successful track career since he arrived in the United States in 2001.
Lopez, an NCAA track star, will be reunited with his mother in Juja, a town less than two hours from Nairobi, Kenya's capital.
His journey began in 1991, when he was separated from his family at age 6.
Lopez, now 22, was separated from his family in Southern Sudan when a group of soldiers took he and about 20 other children. The family were attending a Catholic Mass in the village of Boya when a group of soldiers stormed.
The children were loaded in covered pickup trucks, blindfolded and taken to military prison.He never saw his parents again.
Lopez is one of the 3,800 young men commonly known as the "Lost Boys.'' They spent much of their lives on the run, fleeing war, famine, slavery and living in refugees camps in neighboring Kenya and Ethiopia.
He spent 10 years in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya before he found a home in Central New York in 2001. He's one of six "Lost Boys'' taken in by Robert and Barbara Rogers of Otisco Lake.
Lopez's track career began at Tully High School where he starred in track and cross country, winning a state championship in the 1,600 meters and cross country.
He's one of one of the fastest college distance runners in the country. In June, he won the 1,500 meters at the NCAA track and field competition, representing Northern Arizona University.
He also advanced through the preliminary round of the 800 meters at the U.S. track and field championships, finishing third.
Lopez became a United States citizen July. His goal is to represent the United States in the 2008 Olympic games in Beijing.

Count me as a first soldier; you are not going or will ever going to give me any “Intibah” though.

Cold War in Sudan

With our concerns, I greet you all.

It is obvious that it is a time to discuss the relationship between the SPLM/GoSS and its partner the NCP with the other superpowers in the wake of the Cold War that has started in 2005 when the plane as usual killed the first vise president, Dr. Garang. SPLM/GoSS is in a position now to exert hegemonic control over extending World Society more than any party in Sudan, and to invite a global war against terrorism powers and a collaboration of goals and interests. Intelligence is crucially needed.

For NCP, after the death of Dr. Garang, it may seem a great opportunity to shape history forever. For us and more accurately, it is a moment of great temptation. South Sudan’s status is not as lonely as it seems. We have had a great run without Dr. Garang and I believe we will continue to do so. I remember one of Garang intentions that emphasizes "going to Khartoum", he did not mean that we ended the war, but we moved the war to Khartoum. With all that, I am more interested in taking the war to be a cold one before getting to the worming of that core of inflammations. Inelegance is crucially needed.

With that in mine, I highly recommend that President Salva Kiir should not ever complained in an environment that could take him to public media, Pagan should never complain also and so of Yasir. Let the lower official handle all of that, for example: instead of Salva saying that our army personnel were humiliated, let Koul Dim say it, and on the same run it will be heard. Instead of Yasir saying that the action of police colonel or what ever his rank might be, humiliated our SPLM party, let director or managers of SPLM office say that. All what we need to do is to bring the media and choose who to speak. When we speak, we speak to kill. Not just we go out there and fight with our top leaders with little guys that were sent. What we need to do is work hard immediately on offending the NCP. For example: put thousands and thousands of SPLA artillery battalions with a very clear understanding in Bantiew/Unity States and make them moving around twenty four hours, armed and dangerous, but not with top guns, let it be hidden agenda. They should also be moving at list twenty people at the time. They should also be all over the area market, allies even Arandait where soldiers usually want to go look for women, around the clock. Let them then even do their home work to guess what is in our minds. At the same time let us be ready for it, but with caution and it should be a well diagnosed mater and finalized by the C-in-C. Again, intelligence is crucially needed.

I have so much to say but let me not exhaust the opportunity that I have. What I want to see is that I admit that we are in war, but we should turn it to a cold war that has some flames and that is only possible if we have a high standard of intelligence.

Bashir's Intentions/SPLM Troubled Discrimination in Khartoum

In 2004, when Sudan Radio Service was established to educate New Sudan people about the peace process, some senators thought that Khartoum government deliberately delayed the process in times of elections. Senators thought that Khartoum wanted to buy time so that if George Bush did not come back, then the whole deal would be squashed and people will more likely continue in war. This is exactly what is happening again, George Bush is going to go and that is why Khartoum and all Arab powers, such as Osama who started to talk, are now pushing the agenda again. Even though they are still buying the time, they can utilize the war at anytime; they can shot down SPLM offices at a day light time. Who is going to help? Bush is leaving. That is why now activities are popping up little by little. You can see that through the reinforcement in rich oil areas in Sudan. You can also know their planning, and I assume it is to kill SPLM senior officers so that we remain with inexperience ones. We will have no countries to refuge and seek help, just like how they forced Riak Machar, and we will have no choice but to live as second “if they offered new policies” or third citizens again. Someone asked me before in DC, Giir do you believe in this crab (CPA). Few days letter Dr. John Garang died. I kept that in the back of mind until today.
The threat that they are doing now to Salva, is to cooperate or die and still get some else. You know who the ones on the way are.

All of what I said can be some fantasies, but should we write letters, let us also think about making a two nights vigilant in Washington, DC, just to ask them to save the CPA and also to let them think about us after Bush leaves. It will harm us nothing but momentum.

Khartoum government does not care whether we stand and make noise, which will do nothing at all, or go back to war, they are well prepare since the beginning of the whole thing. Let us really do something extraordinary, something that can have future beside the letters. I am not saying that let us stop letters, but make letters more sufficient by offering them in hand in the vigilant. Let the other countries such as England, Australia, Canada and Northern Europe do the same.

Let us plan for the vigilant, let all SPLM chapters support that and send their delegations with their crafts or any symbols. Let us make Friday and Saturday days and night on either Capitol Hill or white House before Salva Kiir arrives, so that when he comes, he follows up what we made.

Please, I know what I am saying, let us do that. Send your support, come one, come all. Please continue to write the letter and let us have it for the vigilant also.

Let us also be specific on violations of the CPA.
We can arrange that with SPLM Washington, DC office to organize it well, if they agreed. I woould also hope that they send us their support in advance.

Question About Minister Aleu’s SPLM membership

To answer some American Friend, can someone come up with some conclusion/prediction or some latest developments on Minister Aleu’s dismissal?

Minister Aleu’s abrupt exit from National Unity Government was a disappointment to some, not necessarily because he was leaving, but in disgrace he is intent on much more, and his art is as uncompromising as his recent character. However, the question remains; will he still be an SPLM member after this damage? Though infinitely more complex, do anyone knows what are SPLM leadership’s connotations for this incident?
I will appreciate the time that you put into this mater.
